Consulting Services for Design Review and Supervision of Works for Construction of Bio Centres in Nairobi Informal Settlement Project. Contract No. AWSB/AFD/IS/CS-03/2017.
The main objective is to carry out design review and works supervision for the Construction of Bio Centres in Nairobi Informal Settlement Project.
The scope of services and works for the Construction of Bio Centres In Nairobi Informal Settlement Project includes:
- Review and authenticate ownership on sites identified by the contractor;
- Review of Engineering Design prepared by AWSB
- Construction supervision of 15 Sanitation Blocks within Nairobi informal settlements of Kibera, Mathare, Korogocho Mukuru, Kangemi, Kibagare, Kawangware and Kiambiu, each with 7 Nr flush toilets and 4 Nr bathrooms;
- Review and Validate Payment Requests and Other Related Issues
- Review and Verify Completion Activities, Training activities and Remedial Works
- Ensure proper management protocals of completed facilities are in place to ensure full achievement of projects goals in a sustainable and cost-effective manner by enganging localized CBOs for full participation;
- Training of CBO to be involved in operations of the facilities once completed;
- Facilitate signing of an MoU between the CBO and NCWSC on modalities of operations, rates to be charged for sell of water and other services, etc.
