At East Africa’s largest wastewater treatment facility, Frame Consultants is pioneering energy recovery and sustainable sludge management solutions. The assignment involved undertaking feasibility studies, assessing plant conditions, and developing conceptual designs and tender documentation for wastewater-to-energy systems. We were also tasked with the preparation of ESIA and Gender Assessment studies as well as fund sourcing the project itself.

Our multidisciplinary team evaluated biogas recovery technologies, greenhouse gas mitigation potential, financial viability, and institutional frameworks. The project integrates renewable energy generation, improved treatment efficiency, and climate resilience, positioning Dandora as a regional model for circular economy approaches in wastewater management.
